About LPA Foundation
A community foundation,
built on shared roots.
LPA Foundation (legally, the Lindsay Place Alumni Foundation) was founded in 2012 by a small group of graduates who wanted to give back to the school that shaped them. What started as bursaries and uniform funds grew, year by year, event by event, into a community foundation with a much wider reach.
When Lindsay Place High School closed in 2021, we made a choice: continue. The friendships, the cause, the events, none of that needed a building. We expanded our focus to organizations in the West Island and beyond that share our values: palliative care, children's health, youth programs, and community spaces. Today the public brand is LPA Foundation, and our music-driven fundraising runs under Concerts for Compassion.
More than $180,000 given since 2012. Four active partner causes. Zero spent on salaries or overhead.
